QED Style Opens Retail Location
We are pleased to announce the official opening of QED Style’s first retail store. The opening party was held on June 8th, 2018 and was attended by over 300 friends, family, customers and local businesses. The evening was the culmination of 5 years of work and was celebrated with live music performed by Mindy Dillard and Craig England Jr. and food prepared by Tacos “El Pepe”, Laziz Kitchen, and Sushi Groove.
The 4,500 square foot space will serve as a public retail store, corporate headquarters and rooftop for other local vendors and artists. Currently, the space hosts two vendors, QP Collections and The Yellow Yarrow Apothecary but there are plans to add six additional vendors by year end, giving customers a variety of selections and making it a preferred shopping destination.
On the corporate side, Founder, Mike McRae will be joined by Amy Schmidt, Designer and Production Manager, and Marlene Kawaguchi, VP of Sales. This marks the first time all three will be located in the same facility.
“It is really exciting to be able to have the whole team under one roof and I expect it will be a huge asset as we continue to expand our brand” noted Marlene Kawaguchi who recently moved to Salt Lake City.
Conveniently located just off 900 South Freeway exit, shoppers will now be treated to the QED Style experience in person. Like all of QED Style apparel, the retail space is unique, progressive, fun and inviting. Shoppers will be able to find all of their favorite QED Style polos, sweaters, pants, women’s dresses and even two friendly shop dogs.
As part of the grand opening QED Style debuted their new fall 2018 collection. Fans of QED Style will relish the familiar western feel of the new polos, but will also be excited to find fresh styles and materials. Women will also be treated to increased line of dresses, skirts and jackets.
Asked about the inspiration for the store, QED Style Founder Mike McRae noted, “We have always planned on opening a retail location so I am thrilled that circumstance finally made it possible. As a native of SLC, I wanted to create a space that reflects not only the brand but also the city and state that has given me so much inspiration”.
To that end, the QED Style store features a huge chalk board open to the public to incentivize art, creativity and design. The board has quickly become such a hit that it even has its own instragram page, @theboard_slc.
QED Style is located at 925 South West Temple, Salt Lake City UT 84101.
Store hours are M-F 9am to 6pm and soon Saturdays 10am to 3pm.
