3 QED Style Team Members reach Web.com Finals
The road to the PGA starts with the Web.com Tour, but getting status on that tour is no easy task. Each year over 1,000 professional golfers will try to get status on the Web.com Tour but only 45 will gain guaranteed starts for the initial stage of the season. For those who are not exempt from the qualifying stages, getting Web.com status means having to play in up to 3 events where roughly only the top 1/3rd advance. For a detailed explanation of the qualifying process see our Guide to Understanding the Web.com Tour.
This November QED Style was proud to be the apparel sponsor for of number of men seeking to reach the Web.com Finals. While not all of them realized their goal, 3 gentlemen did.
In California, Nick Killpack finished T5 as he went -8 over the 72 hole tournament. Nick has been a longtime friend and ambassador of QED Style. This will be Killpack's first time to the Web.com Finals. Killpack will bring a lot of confidence to West Palm Beach as he now has two Top 10 finishes in Q-School.
Joining Nick Killpack will be Ben Geyer, who had 24 birdies (the most in the field). Geyer shook off a 2nd round 75 to bounce back with rounds of 68 and 71 to finish T11 and secure his return to the Web.com Finals. In 2014, Geyer went from Pre-qualifiers to a top 45 finish at the Web.com Finals. While Geyer struggled in Web.com play, making only one cut, he found late season success on the PGA Canada Tour with a T2 finish as well as Monday qualifying for two PGA events. Clearly, Geyer is pulling from his recent success as he finished T2 in First Stage and was a birdie machine in Second Stage.
Earlier in the month, Zahkai Brown found his way to the Web.com Finals with a T19 finish in McKinney, Texas. Like Killpack, this will be his first trip to the Web.com Finals. Zahkai hails from Arvada, Colorado and has also worn QED Style for a number of years.
2015 Web.com Finals start December 10th and will be played in West Palm Beach at PGA National.
QED Style Founder Mike McRae noted, "We are really happy for Nick, Ben and Zahkai and wish them the best of luck in Final Stage. As someone who has been through the Q-School process, I know just how difficult the task of qualifying is. All three men have showed great determination and character and we are proud to be their apparel sponsor."
We congratulate Nick Killpack, Ben Geyer and Zahkai Brown and wish them the best of luck in the Web.com Finals! We encourage you to follow along and meet all of the men of QED Style.
